IF UGANDA IS TO ACHIEVE ITS VISION OF BECOMING A MIDDLE INCOME COUNTRY, IT CANNOT AFFORD TO HAVE MILLIONS OF CHILDREN LEAVE SCHOOL WITHOUT BASIC LITERACY AND NUMERACY SKILLS." (UGANDA ANNUAL REPORT 2016)

Fortbildung mit "Fun of Phonics"

Feedback Vine Parents Nursery&Primary School

Milton Atocon Okello schreibt am 27.11.2019:

"According to the discussions and conclusions between Vine Parents Nursery and Primary School and Africa (K) now, both parties agreed that teacher training and content generated should be taught in the syllabus of Ugandan curriculum and it’s because of this that teachers of Vine Parents Nursery and Primary School were taught with Fun Of Phonics Set 1 which was later cooperated in the schemes of work for the learning purposes of the children. Vine Parents Nursery and Primary School greatly welcome this idea because the school has already seen great improvement in children’s learning to read and write simple English."

"Given the fact that our children are from poor communities and the only language spoken at home before they start school is their local language and therefore it has always been hard to transform these children into English speaking. The cooperation between Africa (K) now and our school has greatly improved the performance of our children and parents are appreciating work done by teachers together with Africa (K) now because their children can now read and write simple English when even at home. "
